Get the Big Picture
Keep the overview of your studies in mind. Whether it is a course in history, biology or reading directions to put together a new bicycle, you should always try to keep the end result in sight. By keep your focus, on the overarching goal, you won’t get lost in the details. For example, if you want to memorize a math formula, it would be more effective to try and understand the concepts behind the equation as opposed to simply memorizing the numbers.
